Front Cover Image

After deciding that the face for my front cover would be the model Neran and not Laila, I made a decision about which image of hers would work best as the main image for my front cover.  

Although I felt that the quality of the image was high, the main problem with the shot was the distracting background. Thinking ahead, I thought that the writing I will need to add to around the image will not look professional with a busy background. For this reason I used the lasso tool to cut around my model and remove the unneeded background. After I had done this, I used the blur tool to soften out the images to give it a nice finished look, and added a plain white background behind it.
